Job Description

A Field Sales Representative plays a vital role in driving a company's revenue by engaging with prospective customers outside of a traditional office setting. This dynamic position requires individuals who are highly motivated, personable, and able to handle the challenges of direct sales in various environments. Field Sales Representatives are often responsible for cultivating long-lasting customer relationships and closing sales deals in person, which requires excellent communication and negotiation skills. They must also be adept at understanding and promoting the company's products or services to meet the unique needs of each client. The goal of a Field Sales Representative is to boost sales and contribute directly to the company's profitability, making them a crucial component of the sales team.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential clients to increase customer base and sales.
  • Visit prospective clients at their locations to present product information.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Draft and deliver persuasive product presentations and proposals to clients.
  • Negotiate sales agreements and close deals to meet set sales targets.
  • Track and report on sales activities and progress using CRM tools.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about trends and competitors.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Provide after-sales support to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Coordinate with the marketing department to optimize sales efforts and campaigns.
  • Attend industry trade shows and networking events to expand sales opportunities.
  • Manage time effectively to maximize face-to-face client interactions each day.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in direct or field sales roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and close sales deals effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to influence client decisions.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work outside standard office hours.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
