Job Description

The Assistant Manager (QA and UAT) plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through comprehensive testing and assessments. This position demands a professional who can effectively oversee and coordinate the quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing (UAT) processes, ensuring that products meet the highest standards before deployment. As an Assistant Manager, you will lead a team of testers and coordinate with multiple departments to facilitate the smooth functioning of testing operations, identify bugs or glitches, and ensure corrective measures are implemented. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for detail, exceptional problem-solving capabilities, and strong leadership skills to manage teams and projects seamlessly.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee QA and UAT processes to ensure high-quality software delivery on schedule.
  • Coordinate with development teams to integrate QA and UAT seamlessly in the SDLC.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Analyze and prepare reports on QA and UAT activities to track progress and issues.
  • Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to QA and UAT teams to enhance performance.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to quality, testing, and deployment phases.
  • Collaborate with project managers to align QA and UAT goals with project timelines.
  • Review and approve test results to ensure they meet specified requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between QA teams and other stakeholders for issue resolution.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to continuously improve testing methodologies.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and practices in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Ensure all testers adhere to established QA standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in QA, UAT, or related software testing roles.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring QA teams effectively.
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical issues clearly.
  • Solid project management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in automated testing tools and scripting is highly desirable.
