Job Description

A Leasing Consultant plays a crucial role in the real estate industry by acting as the primary liaison between property management firms and potential tenants. This role involves engaging prospective renters to show available properties, discuss tenant needs, offer leasing options, and provide solutions to their inquiries. These professionals are instrumental in ensuring high occupancy rates by marketing properties effectively and maintaining outstanding tenant relationships. They assist in creating welcoming leasing and moving experiences with exceptional customer service. Leasing Consultants are also responsible for processing leasing paperwork, coordinating property tours, and supporting the move-in process. Above all, they aim to ensure tenant satisfaction and contribute to a positive community image.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective renters.
  • Develop and maintain rapport with potential and existing tenants to ensure occupancy.
  • Process leasing applications and ensure completion of all required documentation.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries regarding apartment availability, rental rates, and community policies.
  • Coordinate and ensure smooth processes for tenant move-ins and move-outs.
  • Assist in marketing efforts by creating attractive listings and updates on websites.
  • Analyze rental market trends to provide competitive property pricing strategies.
  • Handle lease renewals and resolve tenant disputes or concerns amicably.
  • Ensure the property is well maintained and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all clients, addressing their needs effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of prospective and current tenants.
  • Collaborate with property management teams to improve leasing processes and strategies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college education is preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales, leasing, or a related customer service field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective client interactions.
  • Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Ability to present properties in a friendly and engaging manner.
  • Familiarity with local rental regulations and the real estate market is advantageous.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to address tenant queries and concerns promptly.
