Job Description

As a Field IT Support Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact for technology-related issues and troubleshooting at various client sites. Your role will involve providing technical support and maintenance to ensure seamless operation of hardware, software, and networking equipment. You will work autonomously and in coordination with the central IT team to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, thereby ensuring high client satisfaction and enhancing the operational efficiency of IT systems. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, technical acumen, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients through excellent customer service. As the field face of our IT team, you will be an integral part of ensuring that our clients' technology runs smoothly, adapting quickly to changing circumstances and rising challenges with a composed and methodical approach.


Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote IT support to clients, addressing hardware and software issues.
  • Travel to client locations as required to promptly resolve technical problems.
  • Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot client network issues and connectivity problems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on IT equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade software and hardware as per client requirements.
  • Document all client interactions and technical issues resolved in a detailed manner.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams for escalated issues and complex troubleshooting tasks.
  • Provide training and guidance to clients on new systems and technologies deployed.
  • Ensure all service requests are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay informed on new hardware and software technology trends relevant to the industry.
  • Create and update user manuals and technical documentation for client reference.
  • Participate in IT projects, providing insights and technical expertise as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years experience in an IT support or a technical role.
  • Strong understanding of computer networks and networking configuration principles.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral devices issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently, managing time and resources effectively.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work in different environments.
