Job Description

As an Event Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue through the strategic planning and execution of events. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the sales activities associated with diverse events, from initial client interaction through to post-event follow-up. We seek a proactive professional who can establish long-term client relationships while meeting or exceeding sales targets. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to ensure the success of their events. Your role will also involve collaborating with internal departments, managing budgets, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction throughout the event sales process.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve organizational goals.
  • Identify and target potential clients to expand the company's event services market.
  • Meet or exceed established sales quotas by effectively managing pipelines.
  • Coordinate with clients to pinpoint specific event requirements and preferences.
  • Draft detailed event proposals with a focus on client needs and budgets.
  • Maintain robust client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Oversee the execution of contracts to ensure compliance and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional strategies for upcoming events.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new sales opportunities and event formats.
  • Lead negotiations for client contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess performance and gather client feedback.
  • Train and mentor junior sales staff to enhance team performance and service quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in sales, preferably in event management.
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and client relationship management.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills with a results-driven approach.
  • Able to multitask and manage multiple client events simultaneously without compromising quality.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
