As a Supplier Development Engineer being part of Strategic Sourcing team , you will be driving all key strategic initiatives for business and ISC . You will be responsible to approve and develop new and existing suppliers to required levels of performance expected by Honeywell and lead qualification of parts manufactured by suppliers, lead improvement of supplier productivity, safety, and quality for assigned suppliers, and develop & maintain relationships in order to improve partnerships between Honeywell & suppliers. As Honeywells point of contact within the supply base, you will support transition and supplier development activities within your assigned geographical area. In support of a variety of supplier oversight functions, you will be spending approximately 80% of your time at supplier facilities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Driving NPI/VE /CE Projects working closely with suppliers for localization global transitions and Tarriff mitigation projects
• Should be able to work with global COE /RCOE and GCMs to identify opportunities from HGR India based suppliers for North America and EMEA regions.
• Should have Tehno commercial exposure this role is not a pure Supplier Development Role .
• Being SDE your will be responsible to act and manage end to end Transitions from India based preferred suppliers to global sites .
• Responsible for coordinating with Procurement, Site Quality and Category Manager.
• Organizations for enabling growth & quality improvements at preferred suppliers.
• Responsible for supplier qualification thru Honeywell Supplier Common Assessment
• Part approval thru Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
• Monitor and report on supplier productivity performance and initiatives to improve.
• Interface with Suppliers, Quality, Operations, & Engineering, & Procurement organizations to drive quality improvements.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions process of supplier major quality issues.
• Drive use data analytics to identify the most important issues to focus effort on.
• Responsible for other duties and tasks as directed.
• Lead new supplier qualification and first article qualification cross-functional teams.
• Leading NPI ,VE CE along with commodity Managers
  
  

End to end project execution and implementation Responsibility .

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelors degree in Engineering.
• 13+ years of experience in managing and developing suppliers/strategic sourcing

Should have techno commercial background and able to make Zero based costing

Expertise and know how of mechanical commodities like Plastics ,Castings, Machining ,Sheet metal and Fabrication

• Ability to act as a mentor to Suppliers, Quality, Manufacturing, & Engineering to improve process & quality.
• Ability to understand and support commercial strategy negotiations and drive project end to end
• Accurately captures, records, analyses, and communicates information
• Enjoys difficult challenges, finding solutions not problems
• Good communication skills at all levels, written and verbal
