Job Summary

The Python (Django) developer role at group.one is a strategic position focused on developing and enhancing scalable and secure SaaS products that help small and medium-sized businesses in Europe grow by simplifying how they communicate, collaborate, and manage their online presence - all from a single, integrated platform. This role requires close collaboration with Group Head and Product Manager.

Job Description

  • Design and develop: Using Python (Django), design and develop new features (primarily back-end) that are scalable, secure, efficient, maintainable, and easy to integrate.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work with product managers / delivery managers to estimate, integrate, and implement required business ideas
  • Establish Standards: Set and adhere to technical standards, tools, and processes, to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Optimize Performance: Ensure optimal application performance, security, and scalability across different devices and browsers.
  • Synergy with UI / UX team: Working closely with UI / UX teams to ensure front-end and back-end integration by paying attention to detail and user experience.
  • Write Clean Code: Maintain and improve code quality by following best practices, conducting code reviews, and ensuring code is well-documented.
  • Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing (including system test, unit test, and integration test) and debugging of applications to ensure a high level of functionality and performance.
  • Proficient with software development tools and practices such as Jira (or something similar), Confluence (or something similar), Agile methodologies (Scrum), Docker, and Kubernetes etc.

Skills Requirements

  • Essential skills: Python, Django, Basic Web (HTML, CSS, Javascript), SQL Database, Design patterns, RESTful API, Git, Docker, Unit Testing (Tools like pytest, Playwright)
  • Optional skills: Knowledge of HTMX, Linux, Temporal, Alpine.js
  • Certifications – A reputed certification in the space of Python (Django), Web development, Scrum, JavaScript, or similar

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech. or B.E.) in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • 4–8 years of relevant experience in Python Development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Django.
