Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have 6–8 years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise networks, including configuration and maintenance of firewalls, switches, DNS, API integrations, and Linux networking. The candidate will also be responsible for overseeing network security, threat detection, firewall reports, data breach prevention, and overall internet/intranet management. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN).

• Configure and manage network devices including firewalls (e.g., FortiGate, Palo Alto), switches (L2/L3), routers, load balancers.

• Perform regular DNS, DHCP, and IP address management.

• Implement and monitor network security protocols to protect systems from unauthorized access or data breaches.

• Configure and maintain Linux networking services, including iptables, routing, and performance tuning.

• Generate and analyze firewall reports, monitor for threat detection, and initiate appropriate remediation steps.

• Monitor and manage internet/intranet bandwidth usage, uptime, and overall network performance.

• Manage and configure API endpoints, integrations, and traffic policies between internal and third-party systems.

• Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

• Maintain documentation related to network diagrams, incident logs, and change management.

• Work closely with IT, DevOps, and Security teams to ensure system integrity.

• Perform network backup and recovery procedures, including failover testing and disaster recovery planning. Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with firewall configuration, threat detection, and security event analysis.

• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Mikrotik, Fortinet, or similar network devices.

• Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, SNMP, etc.).

• Proficiency in Linux networking and system administration.

• Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and other network security tools.

• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving and incident response capabilities.

• Knowledge of data breach prevention strategies and compliance standards (ISO, PCI-DSS, etc.). • Ability to document technical processes and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, CEH, CompTIA Network+/Security+.

• Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting).

• Exposure to Zero Trust Architecture and Next-Gen Firewalls.

• Strong understanding of API configurations and traffic routing. Soft Skills:
