Job Title: Lead - L&D

Job Summary

As Head of Learning & Development, you will build and lead a future-ready L&D function that drives capability development, leadership readiness, and a strong culture of learning across all business functions. This role holistically address’ the development needs across technology, business, corporate, and customer functions.

You will drive strategic initiatives, lead digital and behavioral learning, institutionalize coaching frameworks, and embed a learning culture in line with Group Bayport’s growth and transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Learning Design
  • Reframe L&D to cover enterprise-wide capabilities
  • Build and execute a holistic, future-forward L&D roadmap aligned with business priorities
  • Drive Culture & Values training and embed them in leadership behaviors.
  • Leadership Development & Coaching
  • Design and run leadership coaching frameworks across levels
  • Build and institutionalize Individual Development Plans (IDPs), including for succession roles
  • Oversee assessment of behavioral skills through 360s and development centers
  • Competency & Capability Frameworks
  • Create and implement competency models across functions
  • Lead end-to-end design and execution of Assessment & Development Centers (ADCs)
  • Build structured talent development tracks with measurable ROI
  • Digital & Scalable Learning Infrastructure
  • Lead the deployment and optimization of LMS & digital learning tools
  • Integrate learning with performance and career growth journeys
  • Promote self-paced, mobile-first, and AI-enabled learning formats
  • Onboarding & Functional Training
  • Scale New Hire Training (NHT) for all key roles
  • Partner with business leaders to identify evolving functional skill needs
  • Design personalized onboarding and continuous skilling journeys
  • Team & Vendor Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a team of L&D professionals
  • Manage learning partners and coaching vendors to ensure high-quality delivery
  • Track budgets and ensure optimal learning investments
  • Analytics, Insights & ROI
  • Define metrics to measure learning effectiveness, engagement, and business impact
  • Use analytics to inform continuous improvement
  • Provide leadership with insights on talent readiness and gaps

Requirement

  • Tier-1 MBA from SCMHRD, XLRI, TISS, MDI, or XIMB
  • 3–5 years of focused experience in Learning & Development (preferred in e-commerce/digital-first environments)
  • Strong understanding of behavioral training, coaching, and cultural transformation
  • Experience in designing ADCs, coaching frameworks, and LMS tools
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution and stakeholder management skills

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Leadership & Talent Readiness
  • % of critical roles with succession pipelines, and completion rate of IDPs/coaching journeys for identified talent.
  • Business Impact of Learning Programs
  • Measurable improvement in business/function-specific metrics (e.g., productivity, quality, NPS) post learning interventions.
  • Digital Learning Adoption & Innovation
  • % of workforce engaging with digital platforms (LMS, mobile learning); volume of learning consumed through microlearning/bite-sized formats.
  • Learning Culture Index
  • Positive shift in employee feedback on learning opportunities, growth, and development (via surveys or learning NPS).
