The role of a Logistics & Commercial Executive is pivotal in any organization that deals with supply chain management and customer relations. As a dynamic part of the business operation, the Logistics & Commercial Executive is responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient movement of goods, managing logistics operations, and ensuring that commercial transactions are conducted effectively. You will play a crucial role in coordinating with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, ensuring the timely delivery of products, and optimizing logistical processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Moreover, the position involves direct involvement with commercial activities such as sales forecasting, negotiating terms with clients, and maintaining strong business relationships to drive sales growth. A successful candidate should be detail-oriented, analytical, and possess excellent communication skills to manage various stakeholders effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all logistics activities to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize costs.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and third-party logistics providers.
  • Analyze logistics data and develop reports to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to implement cost-saving measures in logistics and supply chains.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to forecast demand and align logistics strategies accordingly.
  • Resolve any arising issues concerning transportation and logistics promptly.
  • Arrange for product shipments and manage the documentation process for customs compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in logistics operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, reports, and forecasts for the logistics department.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client queries and resolving complaints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a logistics or commercial role.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and commercial practices.
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively and manage supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for liaising with clients and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing logistics operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
