Job Description

The role of an Instrumentation and Control Inspector is vital to ensure the smooth operation and safety of industrial and manufacturing processes. This position involves the meticulous inspection and maintenance of instruments and control systems that measure and regulate variables like temperature, flow, pressure, and level within factory environments. As an Instrumentation and Control Inspector, you will work closely with engineering teams to develop inspection plans and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with instrumentation and control systems are critical in this role. Moreover, the job demands a robust understanding of both mechanical and electronic systems and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of instrumentation equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Evaluate control systems to identify potential issues and recommend necessary adjustments.
  • Develop and implement effective inspection plans in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Ensure all instruments and systems comply with relevant standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to perform testing and commissioning activities.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and documentation as per company standards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues with instrumentation systems.
  • Participate in regular maintenance and calibration of instruments to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior staff and other team members.
  • Liaise with external auditors and inspectors during audits and examinations.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in instrumentation technology.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in instrumentation engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instrumentation and control inspection.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial instrumentation and process control systems.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills to troubleshoot instrumentation issues effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
