Job Description
The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling recorded footage and creating compelling video content. They will collaborate with the creative team to understand the project requirements, select the best footage, and apply editing techniques to produce captivating videos. The editor will also handle color correction, audio mixing, and adding special effects.
Responsibilities
- Review shooting script and raw footage to understand project goals.
- Edit videos to create a cohesive and engaging final product.
- Trim footage and rearrange sequences to ensure smooth transitions.
- Apply color correction and enhance visuals using editing software.
- Add special effects, graphics, and titles to enhance storytelling.
- Ensure the video matches the desired style and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the creative team to ensure the video meets project requirements.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing techniques and trends.
- Manage video file organization and storage.
- Meet project deadlines and manage multiple editing projects simultaneously.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a video editor.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Strong attention to detail and creative storytelling skills.
- Knowledge of color grading, audio mixing, and special effects.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
