Job Description

A Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the growth and development strategies of a business to cultivate new business opportunities. The role requires a driven and proactive professional to identify trends, evaluate new markets, and forge strategic partnerships. Working closely with the sales and marketing teams, the BDM develops strategies to increase revenue and enhances the company’s presence in the market. Responsibilities

  • Assess market trends and present insightful forecasts for strategic planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with staff across departments to align their efforts with market opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close business deals with potential partners and clients.
  • Craft and deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the development and execution of targeted marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of the business development plans with the organization's goals and values.
  • Formulate proposals and deliver reports on performance and market insights.
  • Monitor competition and adapt strategies to leverage competitive strengths and weaknesses.
  • Identify client needs and challenges to create tailored business solutions.
  • Attend conferences and networking events to enhance industry knowledge and connections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in business development or sales roles.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and achieving revenue targets.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel and attend meetings with clients and stakeholders.
