Job Description

As a Medical Representative, you will serve as a vital link between pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals, driving the sales and promotion of medical products. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers to ensure the successful distribution and use of pharmaceutical products. A successful Medical Representative possesses excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of the products, and a solid understanding of the medical field. Your ultimate goal is to increase awareness about the company's medical products and achieve high sales targets through consultative selling techniques. This role requires regular travel within your assigned territory and a proactive approach to identify new opportunities for product expansion and customer support.


Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals to drive sales growth.
  • Provide detailed and accurate product information to healthcare providers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct research to identify effective strategies for promoting pharmaceutical products.
  • Orchestrate and conduct presentations to doctors and healthcare staff about product benefits.
  • Regularly visit hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement effective sales plans to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and product developments.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to align sales strategies with promotional campaigns.
  • Manage and report on the competitive landscape and market trends.
  • Identify new business opportunities and approach potential clients to expand the customer base.
  • Prepare and submit timely reports detailing sales performance and market feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies while interacting with clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field is required.
  • Previous experience in medical sales or pharmaceutical industry is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with clients.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare system and medical terminology is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and work under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to meet clients and attend meetings.
