Marine Officer (offshore)

We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Marine Officer (Offshore) to support marine operations on offshore vessels and platforms within UAE waters. This role ensures safe navigation, vessel compliance, and operational coordination in line with maritime regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the safe navigation and operation of offshore support vessels

• Ensure adherence to international maritime laws, UAE port regulations, and safety protocols

• Monitor vessel positioning, weather conditions, and operational safety during offshore activities

• Conduct inspections and maintenance checks of marine equipment and safety gear

• Support offshore logistics, personnel transfers, and supply operations

• Maintain up-to-date documentation, including vessel logs, certificates, and compliance reports

• Participate in emergency drills and coordinate response procedures when required

• Liaise with port authorities, platform crews, and marine operations teams

• Ensure implementation of ISM/ISPS codes and company QHSE procedures

• Monitor fuel, water, and other consumables on board and report usage

  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or equivalent

• Valid STCW certifications and relevant offshore safety training (BOSIET, HUET, etc.)

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a marine/offshore operations role

• Strong knowledge of IMO regulations, SOLAS, MARPOL, and UAE maritime standards

• Experience operating Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems is an advantage

• Proficient in navigation systems, marine communication tools, and shipboard software

• Excellent organizational and situational awareness skills

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multicultural offshore environments

• Physically fit for offshore assignments and willing to work on rotational schedules

• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
