Your impact
Jacobs is looking for an experienced Landscape Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will manage daily site operations related to landscape construction, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all landscape construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with the design and construction teams to ensure smooth execution of landscape works, such as planting, irrigation systems, hardscaping, and outdoor amenities.
- Monitor work progress, identifying potential delays or issues and taking corrective actions to ensure the project remains on track.
- Conduct site inspections, ensuring that landscape works are completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with the approved design.
- Ensure proper documentation of all landscape works, including progress reports, safety reports, and quality control checks.
- Manage site safety, ensuring that all workers adhere to safety protocols and minimize risks associated with landscape works.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services required for landscape works.
- Assist with testing and commissioning, ensuring that landscape components meet the necessary quality and functionality standards before handover.
Heres what youll need
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in landscape construction supervision, with at least 5 years in a site engineering role for large-scale infrastructure projects such as parks, urban spaces, and recreational facilities.
- Experience in managing landscape works such as planting, irrigation systems, hardscaping, and outdoor amenities.
- Strong understanding of landscape construction standards, codes, and regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office and project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
Skills
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and guide a team.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple site activities simultaneously.
- Familiarity with international construction standards and local codes, particularly in the Middle East or GCC.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and other landscape design software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review and check designs for accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects at the same time.
