Job Description

As a Junior Commercial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the commercial operations within the organization. You will be responsible for assisting senior commercial officers in negotiating contracts, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities

  • Support senior officers in negotiating terms and conditions with key suppliers and clients.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all commercial activities and decisions taken.
  • Analyze market trends to inform strategic decisions and business development efforts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to foster partnerships.
  • Assist in preparing reports on commercial activities and status of contractual agreements.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate billing and financial forecasting.
  • Participate in meetings to provide inputs on commercial strategies and approaches.
  • Support the marketing team in promotional activities and client outreach programs.
  • Ensure all commercial documentation is stored and organized for easy retrieval.
  • Provide administrative support to the commercial department as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of contract law and basic legal principles is beneficial.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new commercial processes and systems.
