The Heavy Forklift Operator is a critical role that involves the safe and efficient operation of heavy-duty forklifts to load, unload, move, and stack materials in a variety of settings, including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and shipping areas. Responsibilities

• Operate heavy forklifts skillfully to unload and load materials safely.
• Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Transport materials and products to designated areas of the facility.
• Maintain and properly document logs of forklift operations and inspections.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to fulfill shipping and receiving tasks.

• Assist in the stacking and organization of inventory within the warehouse.
• Identify and report any mechanical issues or defects in equipment promptly.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to improve operational skills.
• Ensure workspace and equipment are clean and follow housekeeping standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve efficiency and productivity.
• Handle and lift heavy materials with caution and by leveraging equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with relevant experience required.
• Valid forklift operator certification specifically for heavy-duty forklifts.
• Minimum of two years of experience operating heavy forklifts in warehouses.
• Strong understanding of forklift operations, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with variable weather conditions.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
• Physical ability to lift and move materials of up to 50 pounds regularly.
