Job Description

The Facilities Manager is a pivotal role that ensures the efficient operation and maintenance of a company's buildings and infrastructures. This position involves overseeing the safety, security, and functionality of all facilities within an organization. The Facilities Manager is responsible for coordinating maintenance services, managing facility-related projects, adhering to budgetary guidelines, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. In this role, the Facilities Manager must be highly organized, proactive, and adept at multitasking to juggle various facility requirements simultaneously. This professional will work closely with contractors, service providers, and other departments to ensure a harmonious and effective working environment that supports the overall organizational objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance of all building facilities and systems.
  • Coordinate facility renovation, refurbishment, and upgrading projects within a set timeline.
  • Manage vendor contracts including cleaning, security, and maintenance services.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures effectively.
  • Monitor and control facility management budgets and resource allocation efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and initiate timely repairs.
  • Liaise with third-party contractors and service providers for facility requirements.
  • Establish and maintain emergency preparedness and disaster recovery plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of facility management operations and expenditures.
  • Train and supervise facility staff to ensure proficient job performance.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a facilities management role.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and achieve cost savings effectively.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor negotiations.
  • Proficiency in using facility management software and tools efficiently.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and compliance.
