Job Description

The role of an Estimator cum Procurement Officer combines two critical functions within a company: accurately estimating project costs and managing the procurement of necessary materials and services. Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate project cost estimates based on relevant data.

  • Identify and source reliable suppliers and vendors for project needs.
  • Negotiate terms and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable pricing.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of suppliers and vendors for future projects.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials to meet project timelines effectively.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers for effective procurement planning.
  • Monitor market trends to manage budget and procurement strategies efficiently.
  • Review supplier contracts for compliance with company policies and project specifics.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to process and track purchase orders effectively.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of supplier performance and support ongoing quality assurance.
  • Prepare procurement reports and maintain comprehensive records for auditing purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in estimation and procurement roles within relevant industries.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for cost assessments.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and estimation tools effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively.
