Job Description

The role of an Applied Behaviour Analyst is critical in assessing and developing strategies to improve or modify challenging behaviors in individuals. Primarily, this position is focused on helping those who have been diagnosed with developmental or behavioral conditions, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As an Applied Behaviour Analyst, you will utilize scientific and evidence-based techniques to identify behaviors that are detrimental to individual development and work to implement interventions that promote positive behavior change. Through this work, you will be expected to conduct assessments, implement behavior plans, and collaborate with families, caregivers, and educational staff to ensure holistic support. This role demands a compassionate and patient professional who can deliver results-driven strategies and maintain detailed, accurate records for progress monitoring and evaluation.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed assessments to identify behavioral issues and determine underlying causes.
  • Design and implement individualized behavior intervention plans for each client.
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote positive behavioral changes effectively.
  • Maintain meticulous records of client behaviors and interventions for progress tracking.
  • Collaborate closely with families and caregivers to ensure consistent support of interventions.
  • Provide training and guidance to family members and support staff on intervention techniques.
  • Evaluate and modify intervention plans based on ongoing assessment results and client needs.
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to integrate behavioral plans into client routines.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities as required.
  • Write detailed reports summarizing assessment findings and recommending future interventions.
  • Adhere to ethical practices and confidentiality requirements in all client interactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, ABA, Education, or related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required or eligible for certification.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans.
  • Strong analytical skills for effective assessment and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, families, and professionals.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential client information with integrity.
  • Must be patient, compassionate, and dedicated to improving client outcomes.
