Job Summary/ Main Purpose

The Commercial FP&A Analyst will play a key role in driving financial planning, reporting, and decision support for the commercial organization. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Business Unit leaders to provide financial insights, evaluate business performance, and support strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth and profitability.

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead and support the development of the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial models for commercial functions.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to translate commercial strategies into financial outcomes.
  • Monitor and track sales and margin performance against plan, identifying risks and opportunities.

Business Partnering & Decision Support

  • Partner with commercial teams (Sales, Marketing, Business Development) to provide financial insights that support pricing, product launches, promotions, and other revenue-driving activities.
  • Conduct profitability analysis by product, customer, and channel to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Support contract negotiations and commercial deals by providing scenario modelling and financial impact assessments.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management reports and dashboards highlighting key KPIs, variances, and trends.
  • Analyze market dynamics, competitor performance, and customer behaviors to support commercial strategy.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of commercial financial data and reporting.

Process Improvement & Controls

  • Streamline FP&A processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Support implementation of financial systems, tools, and reporting enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics.
  • Professional certifications (CFA, CPA, CFM, or similar) are a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or related financial analysis role.
  • Strong understanding of P&L, revenue drivers, pricing strategies, and commercial operations.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to partner effectively with non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
