We are looking for you to become our ElectricalMaintenance Shift Supervisor to join our Operations team in Guardian Ras Al Khaimah.
The Maintenance Engineer will assist in leading the maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual with a passion for excellence in safety, manufacturing, and customer focus. You will drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability. You will also work to proactively identify hazards and implement appropriate mitigating strategies based on the risks involved while monitoring the Maintenance shift activities- corrective, preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, continual improvements, quality of work and providing guidance to the team. This role will provide critical input for the management team and influence others, positively impacting the organization.
What You Will Do
Establish leadership for the team and drive our Principled based Management culture.
Comply with all standard safety practices and company guidelines.
Support the production processes to align and optimize the manufacturing enterprise in delivering value to the business.
Proactively identify and take appropriate action to minimize EHS risk, including physical condition, job procedures & behavior by self & others.
To assist in the smooth running of plant equipment in shifts by attending the breakdowns, ensuring routine and preventative maintenance carried out at regular intervals.
Undertake effective planning and prioritization of works in the shifts in execution.
Monitor the quality of craft work and provide direction to crew members to maximize efficiency.
Help Plan and Schedule maintenance work for all departments in the facility.
Review the Work instructions & PMs on regular intervals to improve the efficiency’s and cover the gaps.
Identify and execute the projects to eliminate waste and optimize the resources.
Guide new technicians to achieve equipment knowledge, troubleshooting, and replacement of equipment.
Maintain the required standards of housekeeping.
Working with area engineers to drive & execute transformation projects.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
Significant experience in medium-to-large-scale continuous process manufacturing industries.
Demonstrated managerial skills.
Flexibility to work in rotating shifts.
Knowledge of reliability concepts and experience implementing precision maintenance techniques to improve equipment reliability.
Experience routinely utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or other similar problem-solving tools.
Good level of communication in English.
Proficiency in using maintenance reporting tools.
What Will Put You Ahead
Certifications or hands-on expertise in PLC systems (Siemens preferred).
Working knowledge of HMI, SCADA systems (e.g., GE iFix), Profibus, and other industrial communication systems.
Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), induction motors, servo motors, control circuits, and process instrumentation & calibration.
Familiarity with 33KV switchgear, low-voltage switchgear, and diesel generators.
Knowledge of auxiliary systems such as air compressors and weighing scales.
