Warehouse Assistant

Job Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant supports daily warehouse operations related to natural stone and building materials, including granite, marble, slabs, and tiles. The role ensures safe handling, proper storage, accurate inventory control, and timely preparation of materials for delivery and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and properly store granite, marble, slabs, tiles, and related materials

• Assist with loading and unloading heavy materials using appropriate tools and equipment

• Ensure correct labeling, stacking, and protection of stone materials to prevent damage

• Prepare materials for dispatch according to delivery notes and project requirements

• Support stock counts, inventory records, and material tracking

• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organize storage areas for safe movement

• Follow all health, safety, and handling procedures, especially for heavy and fragile materials

• Report any damaged materials or safety issues to the Warehouse Supervisor

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a stone, marble, or building materials warehouse is preferred

• Physically fit and able to handle heavy materials safely

• Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Forklift or lifting equipment experience is an advantage
