  • Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive care, and general healthcare topics.
  • Maintain accurate records of animals' medical histories and treatment plans.
  • Supervise veterinary technicians and other staff in providing attentive animal care.
  • Manage emergency situations by administering first aid and urgent medical treatments.
  • Stay updated with the latest advances in veterinary medicine and best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to manage the veterinary facility.
  • Promote animal wellness through vaccination programs and health screenings.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners to explain diagnoses and treatment options.
  • Ensure compliance with all veterinary laws, regulations, and ethical statutes.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of employment.
  • Strong diagnostic skills with a keen understanding of veterinary medical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with pet owners.
  • Proven experience in performing surgeries and handling emergency cases.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
