The Van Sales Assistant 07J26 is a crucial role within our dynamic sales team, responsible for supporting the distribution and sales operations of our products directly from our van network. This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about sales, have excellent customer service skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales representative to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of products to customers, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As a vital part of our sales strategy, the Van Sales Assistant plays an important role in driving sales growth, expanding our customer base, and ensuring that our products are always delivered on time and in perfect condition.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the loading and unloading of products onto the van efficiently.
  • Ensure daily product deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing any customer queries or concerns.
  • Support the sales representative in achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and deliveries, updating required systems promptly.
  • Conduct regular checks of van stock levels, ensuring restocking is done proactively.
  • Assist in van maintenance checks and ensure the vehicle is clean and roadworthy.
  • Keep the sales manager informed of any market trends or customer feedback.
  • Execute promotional activities and campaigns as guided by the sales director.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to resolve delivery or inventory issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety and operational procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing to discussions on sales strategies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in sales preferred.
  • Previous experience in a sales or customer service role is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive and customer-focused mindset.
  • Familiarity with sales and inventory management software is desirable.
