Job Mission
The Value and Reimbursement Lead is a strategic and dynamic leadership role designed to catalyze change in healthcare systems, driving sustainable health outcomes at scale. The Lead of Healthcare System Partners (Lead: HSPs) is responsible for driving the strategic direction, alignment, and execution of Roche’s access strategy and healthcare system partnerships at the country level.
Acting as a people leader, this role will hold direct accountability for the success of the Healthcare System Partner (HSP), Pricing Lead, and Healthcare System Specialist (HSS) functions. You will play a pivotal role in driving strategic alignment across stakeholders, overseeing the implementation of initiatives, and ensuring Roche delivers impactful and innovative solutions within healthcare ecosystems. This role coaches, develops, and supports the associated team members (HSPs, Pricing Lead, HSSs), ensuring that customer engagement strategies are consistent, impactful, and aligned with the broader access and business strategy.
The Value and Reimbursement Lead works closely with and in support of the Head of Access and Business Strategy to operationalize the overall access strategy, while ensuring the team builds trusted partnerships with payers, insurers, regulators, policymakers, third-party vendors, and other healthcare ecosystem stakeholders.
This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, accountability, and executional acumen to ensure high-value outcomes for both patients and the broader healthcare system.
As the Value and Reimbursement Lead, you will be at the forefront of driving Roches transformation toward co-creating sustainable healthcare solutions that result in better outcomes for patients. By blending leadership, strategic foresight, and operational excellence, you will be instrumental in equipping Roche and its teams to partner effectively with stakeholders for a healthier future.
Your Impact
Leadership and Coaching
- Provide strategic leadership and coaching to Healthcare System Partners (HSPs), Healthcare System Specialists (HSSs), and the Pricing Lead.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture centered on customer and patient impact
- Build team capabilities in stakeholder management, negotiation, and value communication
- Ensure the optimal allocation of resources to priority initiatives while continuously assessing and refining approaches to maximize stakeholder value.
- Boldly prioritize and make decisions to discontinue initiatives or actions that do not drive measurable value for the healthcare system
Strategy and Alignment
- Serve as the primary architect for Roches engagement with healthcare systems, challenging the status quo and shaping sustainable, patient-centric solutions at the system level.
- Own and deliver the strategic framework that governs HSP, Pricing Lead, and HSS contributions while fostering a cohesive alignment of activities to achieve optimal impact.
- Translate the country access and business strategy into actionable priorities for the HSP/access team
- Align and lead cross-functional efforts to innovate and adapt Roche’s strategies and actions to changing healthcare landscape trends, influencing stakeholders, and driving measurable outcomes, in line with national and regional health system priorities
- Support ecosystem shaping by identifying opportunities for partnerships and access innovation
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
- Strengthen Roche’s position as a trusted partner with payers, insurers, regulators, HTA bodies, policymakers, and other healthcare system stakeholders, to co-create and implement innovative solutions.
- Translate healthcare trends and ecosystem insights into actionable roadmaps and strategic plans.
- Facilitate collaboration across internal and external channels, ensuring that Roche’s solutions align with system-level needs and unlock value for society
- Oversee team efforts to navigate evolving access challenges (for example: pricing strategies, HTA processes, Unified Procurement, reimbursement frameworks, patient affordability programs)
- Ensure strategies reflect patient affordability, system sustainability, and health equity goals
- Continuously evaluate impact metrics and stakeholder feedback to evolve Roche’s engagement model in line with local and global objectives.

Who You Are
- You are proficient in the local language and fluent in English, enabling effective global collaboration
- You hold an advanced degree in life sciences, healthcare, economics, or a related field
- You bring 8–10+ years of experience in market access, health systems engagement, or related leadership roles
- You have a comprehensive understanding of Roche’s portfolio and pipeline, with the ability to connect future-focused solutions to healthcare ecosystems
- You are skilled in translating healthcare policy, trends, and system innovation into actionable strategies for Roche and its stakeholders
- You demonstrate strong leadership skills with a proven track record of coaching and developing teams
- You have experience in designing and executing complex system-level strategies with high impact
- You possess a deep understanding of healthcare systems, local policy, payer dynamics, HTA frameworks, processes, and governance, combined with strong business acumen in commercialization, stakeholder engagement, and customer experience excellence
- You are able to influence senior external stakeholders and build long-term partnerships
- You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- You demonstrate strong project and resource management experience
