Position Summary

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking an Technology and Business Intelligence Liaison to support the Institutional Effectiveness Department in bridging institutional planning, data analytics, business intelligence, and technology solutions across the University.

The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between the Institutional Effectiveness Department, Information Technology Department, and University stakeholders to ensure that institutional reporting, dashboards, business intelligence tools, and data systems effectively support strategic planning, assessment, accreditation, and decision-making processes.

The role will contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of technology-enabled solutions that enhance institutional effectiveness, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited university. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data analytics, institutional effectiveness, information systems, or technology project coordination.
  • Experience within higher education is preferred.
  • Experience working with reporting systems, dashboards, databases, and business intelligence platforms.


Skills / Training / Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts and data visualization.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, ERP systems, or similar reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and reporting frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
  • Understanding of institutional effectiveness, accreditation, and KPI reporting processes is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical departments.


Job Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Institutional Effectiveness Department and the Information Technology Department regarding data, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Support the development and maintenance of institutional dashboards, reporting systems, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Gather, document, and communicate business requirements related to institutional reporting, assessment, planning, and KPI management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement through technology and automation.
  • Assist in the implementation and enhancement of data management, reporting, and analytics systems.
  • Monitor data quality and support efforts to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of institutional information.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support accreditation, assessment, and institutional effectiveness reporting requirements through technology-enabled solutions.
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment of reporting and analytics tools.
  • Provide training and support to University users regarding dashboards, reporting systems, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Assist in documenting business processes, system workflows, and reporting procedures.
  • Support the integration of data from multiple institutional systems to improve reporting and analysis capabilities.
  • Collaborate with University departments to identify reporting needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Participate in technology-related projects that support institutional effectiveness and operational excellence.
  • Stay informed of emerging trends in business intelligence, data analytics, higher education technology, and institutional effectiveness.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Institutional Effectiveness or University management.
