About The Role

To provide guest services and in house service as well as daily supervision, and leadership in the Laundry Department with the objectives, performance and quality standards as set by One&Only One Za’abeel.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• To have knowledge of One&Only Operating Standards and Procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of Laundry Operations, equipment, chemicals and fabric handling.
• Assist the Ass. Laundry Manager, Laundry Manager to maintain the department and organization, productivity, ensuring a smooth operation based on business.
• Maintain the best standards when handling guest laundry / dry cleaning to ensure customer delight.
• To always provide colleagues with well- maintained uniforms.
• Encourage colleagues to be dedicated and show initiative to learn, practice and demonstrate One and Only Standards.
• Conduct quality training to all colleagues on a regular basis, ensuring that all colleagues are aware of how to correctly use the equipment, processes and standards.
• Promote a well- managed, and highly motivated team and encourage teamwork.
• Work accordingly to company and Hotel standards and ensure that spot checks are carried out on a regular basis to ensure that standards are being adhered to in all areas.
• Ensure that wash formulas are correct for the specific wash programs and fabric types for each load.
• Assist the Ass. Laundry Manager & Laundry Manager to analyze monthly reports and propose areas for improvement.
• Conduct inventories on a regular basis for all Hotel linens, uniforms, OS&E and amenities, and prepare reports.
• Conduct regular inspections of Laundry and HSK stores and Panty’s, listing points and following up on maintenance issues that are new and outstanding, assist with general cleaning programs and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure high level of hygiene and safety within the Laundry.
• Ensure all chemicals are safely stored and correctly used.
• Assist with maintaining Laundry records accurately, and ensure they are always kept up to date.
• Monitor all projects that are set and ensure that timelines are adhered to.
• Assist in new colleague job skill training as and when requested by the superiors
• Ensure that the task provided daily are executed to the expectation of O&O One Za ’ abel standard.
• Coordinate daily with the outside laundry supplier.
• Spot check sorting of linen and counts picked up and delivered by the Outside Laundry supplier.
• Receive and check Linen, Uniforms, OS&E and amenities, when required.
• Assist in other tasks in the department & Hotel when requested by team Leader or Manager
• Attends and participates in team events.
• Participates in required training and briefings related to the job.
  
  

About You

• Must hol d Diploma in Hospitality or (Be Fluent in Spoken & Written English, any other foreign language is a plus factor)
• Must be skilled to perform the job of Team Leader , Laundry .
• M ust have good k nowledge of Laundry Operation & Housekeeping and has worked as a Laundry Team Leader.
• Must have minimum 2 years as a Team Leader working in a five-star Hotel .
