Reporting directly to the CEO and leading a Quantitative Analyst, you will be instrumental in deploying high-frequency, event-driven trading strategies across commodities and equities. Your core analytical advantage will be unique alpha signals generated from our proprietary Large Language Model (LLM) technology.

Key Responsibilities & Strategic Objectives:

• Strategy & Alpha Generation: Translate LLM-derived signals into robust, profitable trading strategies; continuously research and implement enhancements to alpha and execution quality.
• Portfolio & Risk Management: Manage and scale a $10M+ systematic portfolio, implementing and refining advanced risk controls appropriate for HFT environments.
• Algorithm Optimization: Drive the evolution of trading algorithms to minimize transaction costs (slippage, latency) and maximize performance.
• LLM Feedback & Iteration: Provide critical, data-driven feedback to the AI/ML team to systematically improve the LLM's predictive accuracy and signal efficacy.
• Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide a Quantitative Analyst, fostering a culture of rigorous research, quantitative discipline, and high performance.

Candidate Profile: Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Systematic Trader with a verifiable track record of P&L generation in commodities and/or equities.
• Deep expertise in quantitative technical analysis and the full lifecycle of algorithmic trading (HFT/low-latency development, backtesting, deployment, and optimization).
• Demonstrated experience managing and scaling systematic trading portfolios of $10M+ with sophisticated risk management frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, R, or a similar language for quantitative research, advanced backtesting, and algorithm development.
• Expertise in real-time risk monitoring, mitigation techniques, and statistical performance analysis for systematic strategies.
• Strong capability to collaborate effectively with, and provide precise, actionable insights to, AI/ML research teams.

Preferred:

• Experience in building or significantly scaling a systematic trading desk or a new suite of strategies.
• Direct market microstructure knowledge in energy, agriculture, or specific large-cap equity markets.
• Master’s or PhD in a relevant quantitative field (e.g., Financial Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science).
