Job Description

The Supplier Account Manager is a crucial role within our organization, responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our network of suppliers. This position requires a strategic mindset and excellent communication skills to ensure that our suppliers meet the company's quality, delivery, and cost requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain processes, negotiation skills, and a proven track record of managing supplier accounts effectively. The role demands the ability to assess supplier performance, identify risks, and implement improvement plans. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with other departments, including procurement, finance, and logistics, to optimize the supplier process and ensure seamless operations. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential suppliers.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align supplier strategies with company goals.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to enhance product quality and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new supply opportunities and cost savings.
  • Participate in supplier evaluations and audits to ensure performance benchmarks are met.
  • Prepare and present reports on supplier performance and supply chain metrics.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely and efficient ordering of supplies.
  • Facilitate resolution of any supplier-related issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in supplier account management or related role.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful contract management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and interpret data effectively.
  • Experience in using supply chain management software and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with international suppliers and a global supply chain is a plus.
