Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Storekeeper 10D25 to manage inventory and ensure a smooth workflow within our storage facility. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of inventory management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, overseeing stock levels, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the store room. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, physical stamina to handle stock movements, and a commitment to providing exceptional support to various departments by ensuring materials are available when needed.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions and stock levels.
  • Oversee the ordering, receipt, and storage of goods and materials efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure the safe and organized storage of all materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding delivery schedules and stock requirements.
  • Facilitate the movement of stock by coordinating with various departments and responding promptly to their needs.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize losses and optimize stock levels.
  • Use inventory management systems and software to track and report stock levels effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols within the storeroom environment.
  • Train and supervise junior store personnel to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Identify and address potential issues with stock management procedures proactively.
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, shortages, and excesses for management review.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or a related field is beneficial.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or as a storekeeper within a similar industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and internal departments.
  • Physical ability to move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
