We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Store Keeper to join our team. As a Store Keeper, you will play a critical role in managing our inventory, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and maintaining an organized store environment. Your ability to efficiently handle stock, record inventory data, and communicate effectively with other departments will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of our business. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations and responsibilities of the store and its staff.
  • Receive and inspect new shipments to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory management system with accurate data entries.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock and supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to avoid stock shortages.
  • Organize the store layout to optimize space and improve accessibility of items.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage or loss.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast future stock demands and requirements.
  • Prepare and submit reports on inventory status and store operations as needed.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety procedures within the store environment.
  • Train and supervise junior staff, providing guidance in store operations and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a vocational qualification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Store Keeper, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential for success.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork.
  • Knowledge of inventory management software and related computer programs.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy items with appropriate safety measures.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve any inventory issues promptly.
