Job Description

As a Senior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process by managing purchasing activities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that supplies, materials, and equipment are sourced in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to optimize quality and value from suppliers. Serving as a leader within the supply chain team, you will provide insights and guidance to ensure efficient purchasing operations, improve supplier relationships, and contribute to overall supply chain stability. You will be responsible for managing budgets, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the organization’s operational goals. This position requires a seasoned professional who can effectively identify opportunities for cost reductions while maintaining high standards of product quality and reliability.


Responsibilities

  • Develop procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous pricing and terms.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand and fulfill procurement needs.
  • Analyze market trends to identify potential sourcing opportunities and risks.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee procurement transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators within the procurement function.
  • Resolve supplier disputes and issues efficiently to maintain smooth operations.
  • Assist in budget management and ensure procurement activities align with budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or performance.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior procurement team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret procurement data and market trends effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
