Job Description

As a Stock Controller, you play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods within an organization. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that stock levels are maintained efficiently to meet customer demands while minimizing costs. You will work closely with sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure that stock levels are accurate and the supply chain runs smoothly. You will also implement effective inventory management policies, conduct regular audits, and analyze stock data to forecast future inventory needs. As a Stock Controller, you will be expected to utilize advanced inventory software and systems to track inventory movements accurately. Your role will also involve reporting on inventory discrepancies and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. This is a dynamic position that requires a detail-oriented mindset and the ability to work under pressure.


Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory levels to ensure optimum stock levels are maintained.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with purchasing teams to manage the procurement of stock items.
  • Use inventory management systems to track and replenish stock efficiently.
  • Analyze stock data to forecast future inventory requirements and trends.
  • Liaise with warehouse teams to oversee accurate stock receipt and dispatch.
  • Develop and implement efficient inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in stock counts promptly.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions are recorded timely and accurately in the system.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock purchase orders.
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, tracking metrics, and forecasts.
  • Implement strategies to improve inventory management and reduce holding costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Stock Controller or similar inventory management role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management software and systems is essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis techniques.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in inventory recording.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and suppliers.
