Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in the supply chain management process by ensuring the efficient flow of goods from origin to destination. This position is responsible for coordinating the various logistical elements and processes involved, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory control. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will manage the scheduling, routing, and tracking of shipments to ensure timely delivery. You will also collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and logistics providers to maintain a smooth and efficient logistics operation. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the movement of goods from suppliers to customers efficiently.

  • Maintain accurate logs and records of all transportation activities.
  • Prepare and process invoices and customs documentation as needed.
  • Monitor product deliveries for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Implement strategies to optimize logistics processes and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and support.
  • Ensure compliance with all logistics and transportation regulations.
  • Develop relationships with logistics partners to improve service levels.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and savings.
  • Provide logistic solutions and resolve discrepancies or complaints effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or similar supply chain roles.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics software and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage complex tasks.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and interdepartmental teams.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate insightful reports on logistics performance.
  • Familiarity with transportation regulations and certification standards.
