JOB DESCRIPTION
Leadership And Management
- Lead and mentor a team of BIM Co-Ordinators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Assign tasks and projects to team members based on skill sets, project requirements, and deadlines.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to BIM Co-Ordinators.
- Project Coordination and Execution:
- Receive instructions from the BIM Manager and delegate tasks to BIM Co-Ordinators for the preparation of busbar layout 3D models and 2D shop drawings in line with project requirements, specifications, and deadlines.
- Organize and lead review meetings at each project stage with relevant project team members to ensure customer requirements are met and project milestones are achieved.
- Maintain oversight of the entire project lifecycle to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
Communication And Collaboration
- Act as the primary point of contact between the BIM Co-Ordinators and the BIM Manager, ensuring clear and effective communication of project updates, changes, and issues.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members and with other departments to resolve drawing and specification discrepancies and deliver quality outputs.
- Keep the BIM Manager informed of any significant project developments, potential delays, and resource needs.
Quality Control And Compliance
- Ensure that all project designs and models are completed accurately and on or before the estimated dates.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to company H&S guidelines and policies during factory and site visits.
- Promote sustainable practices within the team, such as reducing paper usage by printing only what is necessary.
Technical Oversight
- Review and approve drawings prepared by BIM Co-Ordinators before forwarding them to the BIM Manager for final approval.
- Ensure all BOQ changes are tracked and communicated effectively to the BIM Manager and relevant project teams.
- Supervise site measurements based on inputs received from the BIM Manager and ensure accurate data collection.
Project Closeout
- Ensure that all design outputs are error-free and meet the project specifications.
- Oversee the proper updating and organization of drawing locations for working and output files, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
- Provide a comprehensive project closeout report to the BIM Manager, highlighting lessons learned and areas for improvement.
