Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. It will feature multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.
About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is looking for a skilled Events Manager - Asset Protection to join our Asset Protection team.
Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Develop and align event security strategies with the resort’s enterprise risk management framework, brand standards, and long‑term organizational priorities.
Translate corporate security objectives into actionable event‑security plans that support guest experience, operational continuity, and reputation protection.
Coordinate long‑range event calendars with resort leadership to anticipate security resource needs, staffing models, and budget requirements.
Design integrated event‑security operating models that account for the resort’s diverse venues, including hotel, casino, entertainment, retail, F&B, and outdoor spaces.
Lead property‑wide scenario planning for high‑impact events such as VIP visits, festivals, and multi‑day conferences.
Advise senior leadership on emerging threats, regulatory changes, and global best practices affecting event security.
Conduct event-specific risk assessments and ensure mitigation strategies are embedded into security and emergency plans, including traffic and crowd management, in coordination with the WMI Events team and Security Division leaders.
Research and evaluate emerging event‑security technologies, assessing feasibility, operational impact, and long‑term ROI for potential adoption.
Serve as the on‑scene security lead during major events, coordinating real‑time decision‑making with command‑center operations.
Benchmark event‑security performance against global hospitality, entertainment, and venue‑security standards; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Integrate security planning with key stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery.
Build strong relationships with local law enforcement, emergency medical services, and regulatory authorities.
Ensure security protocols enhance guest experience while maintaining a hospitality‑focused approach.
Build and lead a high‑performing event‑security team through training, coaching, and succession planning.
Develop specialized training programs for crowd management, conflict de‑escalation, cultural awareness, and VIP protection.
Oversee workforce planning for contract event‑security staffing.
Manage event‑security budgets, ensuring cost‑effective deployment of resources without compromising
About You
Required: Bachelor’s degree in security, risk management, event management, or a related field.
Preferred: ASIS International Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
Required: 5+ years planning and leading security for large-scale events at major venues, integrated resorts, stadiums, entertainment venues, or comparable high-volume environments.
Required: Experience working with law enforcement, emergency services, regulatory authorities, VIP movements, or high-profile events in a hospitality, gaming, or entertainment environment.
Leadership and stakeholder-management skills for cross-functional and multi-agency coordination
Strategic planning and risk-assessment capability for large-scale events
Strong analytical skills to interpret threat intelligence and operational data
Clear, confident communication and executive-level presentation ability
Program and project management proficiency for multi-phase event cycles
High attention to detail with strong organizational discipline
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital planning/reporting tools
Working knowledge of emerging security technologies and event-security systems
Effective collaboration skills with internal teams, vendors, and authorities
Strong problem-solving ability and composure during live event operations
Flexibility to support irregular hours and dynamic event demands
Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently
