About the Client
A growing business that connects with learners via a central Squarespace site. They rely on content (blogs, social posts, short-form video), email marketing, and automated funnels to attract, nurture, and route leads directly to trainers while keeping the community engaged. Operations center on Squarespace for site and blog management, Mailchimp for email campaigns and automations, and major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest) for audience growth and distribution. Consistent branding, polished copy/design, and close coordination with trainers are core to how they deliver and schedule content.

Why does this role exist?
This role exists to centralize and automate lead capture, website flows, and email marketing so leads go to the site and trainers (not the client directly), and to keep the hub active and engaging with consistent content. The specialist will maintain and improve the Squarespace site, run Mailchimp campaigns and automations, and produce on-brand social and blog content so the business scales without overloading internal staff.

The Impact you’ll make

Squarespace setup & optimization
  • Build, update, and maintain Squarespace pages, templates, layouts, and integrations.
  • Implement and automate website funnels and routing so leads are directed to the site and trainers.
  • Add animations and interactive updates to keep the hub fresh and on-brand.
Mailchimp email marketing & automations
  • Create, edit, and send Mailchimp campaigns and segment/lists.
  • Build and maintain automation sequences (welcome flows, nurture, reminders).
  • Monitor deliverability, open/click rates, and optimize templates and copy.
Content creation & publishing
  • Manage monthly blog creation, editing, SEO basics, and publishing aligned with the brand guide.
  • Produce polished copy for blog posts, email campaigns, and social captions (no raw cut-and-paste).
  • Maintain and manage a shared content calendar.
Social media & design
  • Create and schedule posts for Instagram, TikTok (primary), LinkedIn, Facebook, and Pinterest.
  • Produce basic graphics and short-form animations for posts and ads following the brand guide.
  • Monitor social performance and recommend platform-specific formats and improvements.
Coordination & continuous improvement
  • Coordinate with trainers/instructors for scheduling, content delivery, and distribution.
  • Track engagement and post performance; recommend and implement platform or process improvements.
  • Use Magic Workspace + Magic AI for proofreading and collaboration; follow Towanda’s brand guide for all decisions.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required:
  • Deep Squarespace experience: site setup, templates, layout, and integrations.
  • Demonstrable Mailchimp experience: campaign creation, lists/segments, and automations.
  • Proven social media management across Instagram and TikTok (plus LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest).
  • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills (able to polish content to brand standards).
  • Basic design and short-form animation skills for social posts and ads.
  • WFH Set-Up:
    • Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
    • Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
    • Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
    • Back-up computer and internet connection
    • Quiet, dedicated workspace at home

    • Ability to follow brand guidelines strictly
    • Time management and consistency to meet content calendars
    • Comfortable coordinating across external trainers and internal CSMs
