Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and analyze the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers.
  • Develop and implement effective credit control policies to minimize financial risk.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure accurate billing and timely payment collection.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all credit applications and status.
  • Negotiate payment plans and terms with customers to facilitate timely payments.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely follow-ups on overdue accounts.
  • Generate regular credit reports and present findings to the management team.
  • Review and resolve customer disputes and billing discrepancies efficiently.
  • Work closely with the finance department to reconcile accounts periodically.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external collection agencies when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries related to credit terms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required.
  • Proven experience in credit control or a similar financial role required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills required for customer interaction.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inaccuracies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
