Responsibilities

• Operate and manage ultrasound equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
• Review patient medical history for accurate scanning and interaction.
• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient records and imaging results.
• Collaborate with physicians to discuss and interpret ultrasound findings.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper function of ultrasound equipment at all times.
• Provide patients with excellent care and support during procedures.
• Adapt imaging techniques based on patient conditions and examination needs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ultrasound technology and practices.
• Adhere to regulations and protocols to ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Assist in the training of new staff members or ultrasound students if required.
• Continuously monitor and strive to improve follow-up processes and patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Sonographer in a healthcare setting.
• Strong technical proficiency with ultrasound equipment and imaging technology.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and empathy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.
