Job Description

The Service Sales Engineer plays a vital role in bridging the gap between the technical aspects of a company's service offerings and the sales potential of these services. This position requires an individual who is not only technically proficient but also possesses excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex information to clients and prospective clients. The Service Sales Engineer works closely with both the sales and engineering teams to ensure that service offerings are tailored to meet client needs while also supporting sales objectives. They are responsible for understanding customer requirements and presenting solutions that address those needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background coupled with a passion for sales and customer service, which will allow them to provide comprehensive service solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Understand and analyze customer service needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to tailor service offerings to client specifications.
  • Present technical information about services to clients in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Identify new business opportunities and provide feedback to the sales team.
  • Create and deliver client proposals, presentations, and service plans.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients to secure service agreements.
  • Monitor market trends to identify potential areas for service expansion.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
  • Prepare regular reports on service sales performance and client feedback.
  • Participate in sales meetings, providing technical expertise and insights.
  • Train sales teams on the technical aspects of service offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sales, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in service sales or a similar role.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Proven track record in sales with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
