Job Description

The role of a Senior Test Equipment Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the quality and efficiency of testing processes within a manufacturing or product development environment. As a Senior Test Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated testing solutions and systems designed to evaluate the performance and reliability of electronic and mechanical products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test strategies and methodologies, ensure compliance with industry standards, and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes. Your expertise will guide the development of innovative test equipment and influence the planning and execution of testing objectives, ensuring that products meet both customer expectations and safety regulations. This position requires a keen eye for detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automated test systems for various product lines.
  • Collaborate with engineers to define testing requirements and objectives.
  • Ensure test equipment and processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Analyze test data and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Lead efforts in continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve issues discovered during testing.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot test equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Develop and document test plans, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for test equipment procurement and maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Stay updated with the latest testing technologies and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the installation, calibration, and validation of new test equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in test equipment engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing automated test systems is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and compliance regulations is necessary.
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation of test results required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are a must.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are highly valued.
