Senior Shop Assistant - Temporary 6 Month Contract

As a Senior Shop Assistant, you will be responsibile to contribute to the revenues and profits of the shop operations. Assist customers in their choice of purchases and ensure all company standards are being adhered to.

In This Role, You Will

• Produce weekly and monthly sales reports to determine fast selling and slow selling lines so that the correct amount of product is in the shop at all times.
• Be aware of Key Performance Indicators which will drive the business forward.
• Responsible for achieving annual sales targets based on revenues and profits in souvenir shops located within the UAE.
• Become familiar with all systems relevant to the souvenir shop including Touche Point of Sale, Iprocurement Oracle and pivot table spreadsheets.
• Control the monthly stock takes so that an accurate inventory of product is maintained and reported to the Finance department.
• Take responsibility for the aesthetics of the shop; be aware of best sellers and how the position of their location can influence sales accordingly.
• Responsible for the security and safe keeping of the products, cash and all shop elements.
• Be aware of customers expectations at all times and maintain a strong knowledge of all product lines.
• Have a strong awareness of quality control so that damaged product does not find its way on to the shop floor.
  
  

Qualification

• 12 years schooling or equivalent.
  
  

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English with proficiency to read, write and speak Arabic.
• Good knowledge of the airline industry, Sports events and retail in general.
• Friendly demeanour and good inter-personal skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment.
• Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel and experienced with retail Point of Sale systems.
