Job Overview:

The Senior Real Estate & Facilities Spec uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the Real Estate & Facilities discipline within McDermott. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the Real Estate & Facilities discipline. They solve complex problems and use discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. The Senior Real Estate & Facilities Spec impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities with the Real Estate & Facilities team and other related teams and ensures that they work within the appropriate guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple clients’ needs at the same time
  • Develop and guide staff professionals by providing effective performance feedback and training
  • Complete routine administrative tasks
  • Write the Functional and Non-Functional Specifications and prepare process diagrams that are to be included in the project/release
  • Act as the central point of contact for Corporate Real Estate business stakeholders and suppliers and respond to questions related to the project requirements and design, provide high-level work estimates
  • Participate in Supplier RFP processes
  • Review, analyze, and define application requirements as reflected in the required documents and contributes to the technical development specifications by ensuring that these meet the Requirements
  • Peform periodic internal audits of managing agents’ work
  • Serve as prime liaison with building management and maintenance for one office location. May serve the same function remotely for other sites as needed
  • Serve as a primary employee point of contact for all facility-related issues for one office location. May serve the same function remotely for other sites as needed
  • Coordinate and manage vendor/service provider activities
  • Review facilities projects with the Facilities Manager/Director for approval
  • Coordinate with the Facilities Manager/Director on all facilities-related matters
  • Coordinate with other COR support functions (Repro/IS/Security)
  • Coordinate with the office Safety Committee to create and maintain an emergency evacuation plan (OSHEP)
  • Act as Security/Emergency Coordinator, supporting office business continuity plan (Safety coordination if Safety is not represented)
  • Provide location-specific information in preparation for annual budgets
  • Create a Monthly report to Industry Safe Monthly office safety inspection Occupancy Report and other corporate reporting as requested
  • Responsible for Sustainability gathering and reporting
  • Attend scheduled facility team meetings
  • Ensure adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics, and safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Provide oversight to other facility staff
  • Perform other responsibilities unique to the location(s)

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Real estate and facilities-related certification coursework preferred
  • 5 to 6 years of relevant experience
  • Four years of experience in contract writing and building management experience preferred
  • Ability to review and analyze third-party reports, including engineering, environmental, and appraisal reports
  • Highly organized, diligent, and detail-oriented
  • Strong project management skills to manage a large volume of workflow
  • Ability to prioritize and manage their workload to meet deadlines consistently with the accuracy of financial information
  • Strong interpersonal skills
