Job Description

As a Senior Manager of Payroll, you will be at the helm of our payroll operations, ensuring that our employees are compensated accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable laws. You will lead payroll activities for our organization, handling complex payroll processes and developing strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong understanding of the intricacies of both local and international payroll regulations, someone who can navigate and resolve potential payroll problems effectively. Your expertise will be pivotal in integrating payroll systems, managing payroll taxes, and providing leadership to the payroll team. A successful candidate will bring both strategic insight and operational excellence to support our company’s mission and its workforce.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for both domestic and international employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of payroll specialists and analysts effectively.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure consistency.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to sync payroll with other operations.
  • Handle complex payroll issues and find efficient solutions in a timely manner.
  • Lead the integration and upgrade of payroll systems and technologies seamlessly.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filings of all payroll-related taxes and reports.
  • Review payroll data and reports for accuracy and make necessary corrections.
  • Manage relationships with payroll vendors to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and manage payroll budgets projecting future needs and expenses.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll audits and inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of progressive payroll experience with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, and tax reporting.
  • Demonstrable experience with international payroll processes and regulations.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, or SAP payroll modules.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop large teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and integrity.
