As Senior CyberSecurity Technical Engineer, you will build, manage and operate security technologies in compliance to corporate policy and standards. Ensure security designs meet business requirements and address risk.

In The Role You Will

  • Lead the discovery projects and build high level designs to accomplish business needs while prioritizing cyber risk reduction.
  • Manage the cybersecurity technology lifecycle from conception to service operation.
  • Make design decisions aligning to security principles. Coordinate with internal teams to build support for design decisions and favorable risk reduction outcomes.
  • Build technical documentation for cybersecurity technology designs, operations and support the creation of associated security technology standards.
  • Facilitiate the ongoing review of cybersecurity technology designs and alignment to industry best practices.
  • Support the diagnosis and resolution of cybersecurity technology issues as a subject matter expert.

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or Network Technologies.
  • Certifications such as, F5 Certified Professional, PCNSE and SANS, ISC2 are desired.
  • 8+ years experience in Information Technology, Networking and Cybersecurity.

Knowledge/skills Required

  • Detailed understanding of Web and Network Security protocols, particularly HTTP/HTTPS.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and other Web security risks and mitigations.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Policy as Code development for Automation of network security configurations using F5 (iControl REST API, iRules, etc.)
  • Hands on experience managing Network Security technologies include NGFW, Web Application Firewalls, Cloud proxy and Certificate management tools.
  • Build, manage and operate security technologies in compliance to corporate policy and standards.
  • Ensure security designs meet business requirements and address risk.
  • Experience performing gap analysis on configuration and architecture of Network Security components.
  • Experience troubleshooting performance and configuration issues in Network Security platforms.
  • Skills in developing remediation plans for identified problems, vulnerabilities and configuration gaps in Network Security platforms.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong grasp of monitoring and testing concepts for Network Security products.
