Senior Commercial Finance Analyst

Role Purpose

The Senior Commercial Finance Analyst plays a critical role in driving business performance through analytical insight, financial modelling, and cross-functional partnership. The role is responsible for evaluating financial results, identifying key trends, and providing strategic recommendations that influence commercial decision-making. Acting as a bridge between Finance and the business, the Senior Analyst ensures that financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting are accurate, meaningful, and actionable.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the preparation, validation, and interpretation of financial results including managing month-end closing for assigned business units, highlighting key variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with Commercial, Marketing, IT, and Operations teams to evaluate initiatives, pricing strategies, and promotional effectiveness.
• Conduct pre and post-investment and ROI analyses to assess business cases, promotional activities, and strategic projects.
• Support the Head of Commercial Finance/Commercial Finance Manager and/or Team in key presentations and ad-hoc analysis for leadership meetings.
• Translate data into actionable insights that drive commercial outcomes and inform strategic decisions.

Build, refine, and maintain financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, and investment evaluation

Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in commercial/analytical roles preferably in F&B, Retail or FMCG
• Experience of budgeting & forecasting for multiple business units
• Newly or part-qualified Accountant
• Advanced skills in Excel and use of Business Intelligence Analytical tools
• Strong communicator at all levels
• Ability to manage large volumes of data and develop models to manipulate data efficiently
• Attention to detail – maintain integrity of data and ensure all analysis is robust and accurate

Desirable Skills

• Prior work experience within the UAE
