Senior CAD Technician - Digital Delivery (225-804)

As a Senior CAD Technician specializing in Digital Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of our design processes. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and overseeing sophisticated engineering drawings using advanced CAD software. Collaboration with engineers, architects, and project managers will be a part of your daily routine to ensure that design objectives are met and enhanced through innovative digital solutions. This role requires keen attention to detail, exceptional technical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. You will also be tasked with mentoring junior technicians and contributing to the improvement and development of company CAD standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex CAD models to support digital delivery initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to facilitate project digital transformations.
• Ensure that all CAD output complies with company and industry standards.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of advanced CAD workflows.
• Mentor and provide training to junior CAD technicians and new team members.
• Conduct quality checks on CAD deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the integration of new technologies within the CAD department.
• Coordinate with project managers to meet digital delivery timelines and requirements.
• Identify and address potential issues in design processes and suggest improvements.
• Contribute to the drafting of project documentation and maintain version control.
• Support the creation of BIM models and participate in BIM coordination meetings.
• Continuously update personal knowledge of CAD software and digital delivery trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CAD Technician in a similar role.
• Proficiency in advanced CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and digital delivery methodologies is required.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and lead by example in the workplace.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for CAD and digital delivery.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Experience with implementing and improving CAD standards and procedures.
