Job Description

As a Senior Buyer, you will hold a pivotal role within our procurement team, responsible for optimizing our supply chain and ensuring we procure the best products at the most competitive prices. You'll leverage your extensive market knowledge and strategic planning abilities to forecast trends, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure all purchases align with our quality and efficiency goals. This role requires a proactive approach to inventory management, analyzing data to identify cost-saving opportunities, and maintaining robust supplier relationships. As a Senior Buyer, your strategic outlook and negotiation finesse will be pivotal in driving the company's procurement strategy and overall financial health.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic procurement strategies to meet company objectives.
  • Monitor market trends to select products and suppliers that support business goals.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and pricing.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuous supply and alignment on parameters.
  • Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
  • Evaluate vendor performance through feedback and quality audits for improvement.
  • Forecast trends and buying strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align purchasing activities with corporate goals.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and outcomes to senior management.
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the procurement team to enhance their skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a similar procurement or purchasing role.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships effectively and diplomatically.
  • Extensive knowledge of market trends and competitive products and services.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast and manage inventory effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems is highly desirable.
